Hi, my name is Shumisat Rasulaeva. I was born and raised in Siberia. When I was a child, I was always enchanted by all forms of storytelling such as books, movies, cartoons and theater. After moving to Israel as an adult, I started working as a motion designer and animator, over time I found myself gradually drifting towards illustration as a career path.

I like to think of myself as a versatile illustrator who welcomes the opportunity to work on all types of projects: children’s books, editorial illustration, textile print illustration, toy design etc. I try to embed storytelling in everything I make.

My biggest sources of inspiration are cinema, music, illustration (especially mid-century modern illustration), books, traveling and popular science.

When I’m not drawing, you can probably find me going for walks, drinking loads of coffee, hanging out with friends, playing music or practicing yoga.
